Baan Selah is a future home in Northern Thailand where mission teams, pastors, churches and individuals can gather, pray, prepare, serve and rest.

More than lodging, it will be a bridge between the church in America and the work God is already doing in Chiang Rai—built around hospitality, lasting relationships and faithful service.

Baan Selah will remove one of the barriers to year-round ministry visits: a consistent place for teams to stay, connect and prepare. Here, guests can share meals, pray together, process what they are experiencing and build relationships that continue long after they return home.

Our Story

A calling that came back into focus.

2010

The first visit

Summer first visited Baan Immanuel in Chiang Rai and saw firsthand the love, faith and life-changing work happening there.

August 2026

The return

Returning to Chiang Rai with her father brought the connection into focus again. During worship and conversations with the people who have faithfully served there, the vision for a ministry home began to take shape.

Now

Walking through open doors

Summer and her father are moving forward prayerfully—sharing the vision with churches, seeking wise counsel and trusting God to provide the people, land and resources in His timing.

The Project

Designed for people

The goal is to raise $400,000–$500,000 for land, construction, furnishings and ministry preparation. Every part of the home will support connection, care and practical team life.

The impact reaches across generations. Young people who were once cared for have grown into leaders, parents and servants themselves. Baan Selah is envisioned as a practical way to strengthen the connection between this work and the churches and teams called to come alongside it.
